The team at Glue Home are excited to announce our new Homebridge plugin. Glue's mission is to be an open platform where users can easily integrate with our ecosystem and have the freedom to build their own unique projects. Connecting your Glue Smart Door Lock to Apple HomeKit is now easier than ever.

What is Homebridge?

Homebridge is a NodeJS server that emulates the iOS HomeKit API created by thousands of plugin developers and Home hackers. With the software you can integrate most smart home devices with Apple Home, allowing you to connect devices that do not natively support HomeKit. Create your own powerful automations and customise your home security. You can read more about Homebridge here.

How do I install the new plugin?

You will need to be familiar with using public APIs and creating in developer environments. We've created publicly available services and libraries and you will need to follow the list of requirements described in our public documentation of the plugin on Github. 

What will happen to the old APIs?

If you have been using our old API you need to switch over to the Homebridge plugin before the 15th of February 2021, or your connection will be lost. We’re stopping all support for the older APIs so make sure to switch over on time.
